Pulmonology Clinic
The Pulmonology and Intensive Care Department at Nera Medical Specialist Center diagnoses and treats a wide range of lung, allergy and breathing-related conditions. They also investigate and manage sleep disorders.
Our team of qualified and experienced respiratory doctors, nurses and technicians are committed to delivering high quality care. Our programs bring together teams of specialists within the Pulmonology and Intensive Care Unit as well as from cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, thoracic imaging, and pulmonary pathology, to provide an integrative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
The Pulmonary and Critical Care team also looks after the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where seriously ill patients are cared for by specially trained staff.
The Intensive care unit in Nera is equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities for patients with severe and life-threatening illnesses and injuries, which require constant, close monitoring; support from specialists; and medications in order to ensure normal body functions. Patients may be transferred directly to an intensive care unit from an emergency department; from a ward if they deteriorate; or immediately after very invasive surgeries or where the patient is at high risk of complications.
